Bangalore to witness heavy Rainfall in next 3 hours!

After a brief period of enduring scorching heat, Bangalore is ready to face heavy downpour and strong thunderstorms for today.

As reported by IMD forecast (India Meteorological Department), thunderstorm with lightning is definitely going to hit several parts of Karnataka such as Bangalore, Bangalore Rural, Bidar, Bijapur, Chamarajnagar, Gulbarga and Mysore in the next 3 hours.

Rainfall is already being witnessed in Western Ghats areas, Kodagu, Chikkamagalur and other Konkan regions. There will be a large rainfall and thunderstorm activity towards late evening/night hours. Thunderstorm alert has been issued to all districts.

This is part of summer season and the rain is part of mango showers, describes IMD scientists.

The city was filled with cloudy mist with a hint of slight drizzling. It then resulted in heavy downpour of rain, affecting commuters and passengers to travel and get shelter amongst the chaos.

Kormangala, ShivajiNagar, KR Market, VasanthNagar, Malleshwaram, Sheshadripuram were the areas affected by the resulting rainfall. The people also witnessed Lightnings along with huge thunders. Some parts of the city is completely submerged in rain, creating difficulties for the travellers to drive their vehicles. People stormed towards store outlets and complexes in order to protect themselves from the downpour.

IMD Forecast says that the rainfall is bound to happen for the next 2-3 days.
