New Delhi: India is ready to setup an official meeting with senior heads of G20 Cultural ministries in Jammu & Kashmir. This meeting is scheduled to happen during the month of May. This take is officially a response of overriding the objections made by Pakistan, which in turn had support of member countries such as China, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to not host any meetings in the Union Territory.

Sources reported that the meeting will be based on the following subjects. The primary focus is to discuss Indian presidency priorities like protection and restitution of cultural property. It also involves developing suitable environment for sustainable future of living heritage, promotion of cultural industries and leveraging digital technology for protection of culture.
India’s permanent representative, Ruchira Kambhoj, told UN that India will be hosting 56 meetings across the length and breadth of the country. taking G20 from Kashmir in the North to KanyaKumari in the South.
Indian Presidency G20 meetings will be held in all 28 States and 8 union territories of India. A G20 related meeting is to be held in Arunachal Pradesh next week. The US, China and Indonesia had held G20 meetings in 12, 14 and 25 cities respectively.
