Bengaluru triple murder: 2,085-page chargesheet filed against techie, live-in partner

Police have stated that further investigation will continue, and a supplementary chargesheet will be filed if additional evidence or findings emerge.

The KR Puram police have filed a 2,085-page chargesheet in the KR Puram triple murder case, in which a young tech professional and her live-in partner are accused of allegedly killing three members of her family, including parents and her younger sister, in a brutal manner.

The case was investigated under Sections 103(1), 61(2) and 238 read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police have submitted the chargesheet before the competent court under Section 193(9) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) against the accused persons.

Murdered for opposing relationship

The incident took place on June 22, 2026, at Sai Green Apartment in Dhamanik Layout, Seegehalli, KR Puram. Somasundar (55), his wife Muthulakshmi (48), and their younger daughter Supriya (20) were allegedly stabbed and hacked to death inside their apartment.

The accused are S. Shwetha (24), the couple’s elder daughter, and her live-in partner Kenneth (26). Shwetha was arrested near Puducherry within 24 hours of the murders, while Kenneth was subsequently arrested.

According to investigators, opposition from Shwetha’s family to her relationship with Kenneth, coupled with financial difficulties and loan-related issues, had contributed to tensions within the family.

Police have stated that further investigation will continue, and a supplementary chargesheet will be filed if additional evidence or findings emerge.
