Ganesh Acharya has unveiled the trailer of his upcoming directorial Ganesh: Dust To Stardust, a film based on his life and career. Written and directed by Acharya, the biographical drama follows his journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Bollywood’s prominent choreographers, focusing on the struggles, sacrifices and determination that shaped his career. The trailer was also shared on social media by actors Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

The film stars Shivanshu Soni, Alok Shaw, Sukanya Kalan and Sakshi Pawaskar. Its trailer offers glimpses of Acharya’s early struggles, his pursuit of a career in cinema and the role dance played in his professional journey. Acharya said the film explores the idea that pursuing a dream requires hard work and sacrifice, while his daughter Soundarya Acharya, who produced the project, said it focuses on believing in one’s ambitions despite difficult circumstances.

Akshay Kumar, who shared the trailer on Instagram, recalled his longstanding association with Acharya and noted that the choreographer’s first song as a choreographer was for one of his films. Kumar congratulated Acharya on bringing his life story to the screen, while Ajay Devgn also shared the trailer on social media.

Acharya began working as a choreographer in the 1990s and has choreographed several popular Hindi film songs, including “Beedi Jalaile” from Omkara, “Chikni Chameli” from Agneepath and “Malhari” from Bajirao Mastani. He has won National Film Awards for Best Choreography for “Hawan Kund” from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and “Gori Tu Lath Maar” from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. He has also directed films such as Swami and Money Hai Toh Honey Hai.

Presented by V2S Production & Entertainment, Ganesh: Dust To Stardust is produced by Soundarya Acharya. Digangana Suryavanshi and Ganesh Acharya have written the screenplay and dialogues, while Junaid Kumar has composed the music and background score. Sameer Anjaan and Acharya have penned the lyrics, with Ajay Pandey serving as cinematographer and Rakesh Ram handling editing. The film will release in theatres on December 11, 2026.
