The Madiwala police have arrested six people in connection with the murder of medical shop owner, Suhail. The accused have been identified as Adil, a Bandepalya rowdy-sheeter and his associates — Yasin, Abbas, Afivuallah, Shaan, and Syed Farhan

The deceased was allegedly intercepted by an armed gang in Madiwala traffic signal and hacked to death in full public view on Saturday (August 22) night.

According to the police, the murder was allegedly carried out as an act of revenge for the killing of Adil’s friend Shabbir. Shabbir was murdered in the Bandepalya police station limits in January.

Police suspect that Suhail had allegedly provided financial assistance for Shabbir’s murder and that his brothers were also involved in the killing. Angered by this, Adil allegedly planned Suhail’s murder as a retaliation.

Investigators also suspect that Suhail had threatened his friends that he would assault Adil before Adil could retaliate against him.

After killing Suhail, the accused had reportedly planned to flee to Mumbai. However, Madiwala police tracked them down and arrested all six before they could escape.

The arrested accused are being questioned to establish their individual roles in the murder and the sequence of events leading to the killing.
