GWMC officials asked to expedite UGD tender process
MA&UD directs expediting Warangal's underground drainage tender, with progress review and funding steps to accelerate project implementation.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Secretary and Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) T.K. Sridevi directed officials to expedite the tender process for the proposed underground drainage (UGD) project in Warangal.
Reviewing the project through a video conference from Hyderabad on Saturday, Ms. Sridevi sought details of the progress made so far and the status of the tender process. She directed officials to complete the pending technical and administrative formalities and invite tenders at the earliest.
She said the UGD project would improve sewage management and urban infrastructure in the city and asked officials to coordinate to avoid delays in its implementation.
The meeting also reviewed proposals submitted for securing funds under the Urban Challenge Fund. Officials discussed the steps required for mobilising funds and obtaining necessary approvals.
GWMC Commissioner T. Venkanna and other engineering officials participated in the review.
