Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to expedite measures to ensure early justice for victims of the AgriGold scam and warned against attempts to delay the process through legal interventions.
Reviewing the issue with Ministers after the Cabinet meeting, Mr. Naidu said the government would deal firmly with those trying to obstruct relief measures by approaching courts. He instructed officials to speed up the auction of properties so that compensation could be disbursed to victims at the earliest.
The Chief Minister also directed Ministers to organise Independence Day celebrations in line with the Centre’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, while reflecting the objectives of the State’s Swarna Andhra Vision-2047.
Mr. Naidu emphasised the need to make effective use of floodwaters from upstream regions to address drinking water shortages and ensure an adequate supply of fodder for livestock.
Mr. Naidu also said the State Assembly would meet for four days from August 17 to 20.
