KLU hosts ‘Skill Palaver’ to make students industry-ready
KL Deemed to be University hosts Skill Palaver 2026–27 to boost students' industry-ready technical skills and real-world project experience.

The third edition of “Skill Palaver 2026–27,” a skill development initiative aimed at enhancing students’ technical competencies and preparing them to meet industry requirements, organised by the Skill Development Department of KL Deemed to be University, concluded on Sunday (October 11, 2026).
The event was organised from 6 p.m. on October 10 to 2 p.m. on October 11 and students showcased projects across seven domains: Machine Learning, Cloud Computing and DevOps, Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (IoT), Semiconductors and Microelectronics (VLSI), Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (CAD/CAM), Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
A special Buildathon on Digital Design and Computer Architecture (DDCA) was also organised for first-year B.Tech Honours students. Participants worked in teams to develop technology-based solutions to real-world problems, with guidance from faculty mentors and industry professionals.
The projects were evaluated on technical quality, performance, feasibility, and relevance to industry needs. Experts from leading organisations, including CGI, IBM, Cloudaliv, Lloyds Technology Centre India, Invesco, Synopsys, Boeing, TTEC and HTC Global Services, participated in the evaluation and provided feedback.
University Vice-Chancellor G. Parthasarathi Varma emphasised the importance of experiential learning in preparing students for evolving industry demands. He said such initiatives help students translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions while strengthening teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of A. Srinath, Dean of Skill Development and Student Progress, and A. Jagadish, Director of FED, with support from faculty members, department heads and project mentors.
Pro Vice-Chancellors N. Venkat Ram and K. Rajasekhara Rao, Registrar K. Pavan Kumar and other university officials participated in the programme.
