After the first seizure in Mumbai, the accused Israeli national revealed that he had purchased the ‘Methamphetamine’ drug from a factory in Greater Noida.
The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), with assistance from the local police, busted an inter-state drug racket, seizing ₹9.4 crore worth of 'Methamphetamine' from Mumbai and Greater Noida.
An Israeli man and two other foreign women were held in connection with the crime, ANI news agency cited the Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Terrorism Squad, Maharashtra as saying. While 2050 grams of the drug worth ₹4 crore was seized from Bandra (East) in Mumbai, another 2688 grams of the drug worth ₹5.4 crore was seized from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

After the first seizure in Mumbai, the accused Israeli national, during questioning, revealed that he had purchased the ‘Methamphetamine’ drug from a factory in Greater Noida. Following this, in a raid conducted with assistance from the local police, the drug was seized from the factory in UP. Drug manufacturing materials were also found at the location.
Meth tablets worth ₹45 cr seized from ambulance in Mizoram
The inter-state drug bust came days after 15 kg of Methamphetamine tablets worth ₹45 crore were seized from an ambulance in Mizoram, with a woman posing as a patient among three held for the crime, PTI news agency cited an Assam Rifles official as saying.
A joint team of the Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted the raid in Seling area on Thursday (August 6)last week, acting on a tip-off, the official said. While three suspects were arrested, the ambulance vehicle was also seized. Assam Rifles described the drug bust as one of the significant narcotics seizures in the state, while highlighting the coordination between the paramilitary force and DRI.
The seized items and the arrested accused were handed over to the DRI for further investigation and legal action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, PTI cited the official as saying.
