Mob attacks woman while feeding community dogs
A 45-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and her mobile phone damaged by a group of people while she was feeding community dogs in NTI Layout under Kodigehalli Police Station limits on September 23.

A 45-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and her mobile phone damaged by a group of people while she was feeding community dogs in NTI Layout under Kodigehalli Police Station limits on September 23.
According to a complaint filed by Sudha Deepak at Kodigehalli Police Station on September 24, she had gone to Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, 4th Main, 6th Cross, around 8.30 p.m. to feed and provide water to the community dogs.
The complainant alleged that a resident approached her and began pelting stones at the stray dogs. When she requested that he not harm the animals, he allegedly became aggressive and picked a quarrel with her.
As the argument escalated, Ms. Sudha started recording the incident on her mobile phone. The man allegedly snatched the phone from her hand and abused her using vulgar language. She later managed to retrieve the phone.
The complainant further alleged that the man called several others to the spot to prevent her from feeding the dogs. Among them was a person wearing a red-sleeved shirt, who allegedly assaulted her hand with a wooden stick, apparently intending to damage her mobile phone. The phone fell to the ground, and its display was completely damaged, she alleged.
Ms. Sudha told the police that she had been feeding the dogs during hours when there was less public movement to avoid inconveniencing residents.
She subsequently called the emergency helpline 112 and the Kodigehalli police. Patrol personnel reached the spot, but the alleged assailant and others had fled by then.
In her complaint, Ms. Sudha sought legal action against the unidentified persons for allegedly assaulting her, damaging her mobile phone, and preventing her from feeding the dogs. She also requested the police to warn the accused against harassing or assaulting her in the future.
