Madhya Pradesh has received investment opportunities worth more than ₹15,400 crore, including a ₹6,415 crore data centre in Gwalior, at a two-day semiconductor summit inaugurated on Friday (October 23, 2026) in Indore to attract business in the State, officials said.
The investments include commitments from five companies that were awarded letters of intent (LoI) for land allotment by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, for proposed industrial projects worth ₹9,625 crore and generating more than 4,450 direct jobs across Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior, they said, adding that this involves a 50 MW hyperscale data centre at Ganga Malanpur in Gwalior with an investment of ₹6,415 crore by CyTac RE.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the government also received proposals worth around ₹5,800 that have potential to generate around 10,000 employment opportunities.
After inaugurating the Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Summit - 2026 at Indore’s Brilliant Convention Centre, Mr. Yadav said that the the government had formed more than 25 policies focused on ease of doing business and bringing business into the State in his nearly three-year tenure.
Since he took over in December, 2023, Mr. Yadav has held a number of summits and conferences across the country, apart from travelling abroad to meet companies, to attract investments into the summit. This includes the Global Investor Summit in 2025 in Bhopal and its second leg is scheduled in 2027.
Mr. Yadav said that the State has received investment proposals worth approximately ₹34 lakh crore, of which more than 30 percent have progressed towards implementation.
“The State Government is working continuously to translate investment proposals into actual projects. The government is working to prevent unnecessary delays in investment-related processes and ensure time-bound resolution of issues. Its approach prioritises decisions over files, projects over possibilities, and solutions over problems,” he said.
He said that the government was working to develop Gwalior as a telecommunications manufacturing hub.
“The State is making significant progress in pharmaceuticals, textiles and defence production. The state’s power generation capacity has reached approximately 32,000 MW. Madhya Pradesh has also made notable progress in renewable energy,” he added.
The Chief Minister also said that a Semiconductor Centre of Excellence will be established in the state to promote chip design, very-large-scale integration (VLSI), innovation, research and development, prototyping and skill development.
A dedicated centre will be established to create new opportunities in quantum computing, quantum communication, photonics, advanced materials and deep-tech research, he said, adding that high-tech industries like semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, advanced packaging, chip design and other high-tech industries will be prioritised along the Indore–Ujjain Economic Corridor.
Mr. Yadav also held one-on-one meetings with top executives of 12 tech companies to explore investment opportunities in the State.
