The police on Friday raided the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison following several complaints last month.

The raid, led by M. Narayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Electronics City Division, began early on Friday morning and continued for several hours.

According to sources, no contraband or electronic devices were found during the surprise check.

The Electronics City police said the prison officials extended their full cooperation during the operation, but no banned items were found in the barracks of the undertrial prisoners or convicts. Nearly 150 police personnel were deployed to conduct a thorough search of all the barracks.
