Veteran actor Prabhu - known as ‘Ilaya Thilagam’ in the Tamil film industry - is set to embark on a new project. This film will be directed by Franklin Jacob, who has been associated with projects like Writer and DC.

Produced jointly by Rahul of Romeo Pictures and Gokul Srinivasan of Aviate Pictures, the film is touted to be a thriller-comedy with shades of dark humour genre. Also part of the starcast is Bigg Boss fame Vijay Varma, Rahul, Muthu Kumar, Ramesh Thilak, Dileep Subbarayan, Dheena, Arun Matheswaran, Kavitha Bharathi, and Avinash Ragudevan among others. While Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose music, Pradeep Kaliraja and Prasanna GK will handle cinematography and editing respectively.

The project was kicked off recently at an event that had directors Pa. Ranjith, Arun Matheswaran, and several other prominent personalities from the film industry in attendance.

Prabhu said, “Franklin, the director of Writer, narrated a wonderful story to me. I am happy to have got the opportunity to be part of such a different film. I am very happy that directors like Ranjith and Arun Matheswaran have come here to encourage the new generation and support the team.”
