Satish Jarkiholi will cooperate with Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers if they take up an investigation into his business activities, Lakhan Jarkiholi, Independent MLC and younger brother of the Minister, said in Gokak on Wednesday.
“I came to know about the ED raid on Satish Jarkiholi’s house through media reports. I have no idea why it was conducted. It is true that he has been active in politics and business. But I have no information about his business dealings. My businesses are different from his. However, I am sure that he will provide all the details to ED officers. He will answer all the questions they may ask,” he told reporters.
Meanwhile, Belagavi District Congress Committee president Vinay Navalagatti criticised the raid.
“It is clear that it is politically motivated. The BJP-led Union Government is misusing institutions like the ED to target Opposition party leaders. However, we are confident that Satish Jarkiholi will come out of it unscathed,” he said.
