Silk Board flyover space to be developed for commuters
Silk Board flyover space will be developed for commuters, enhancing pedestrian access and amenities under the flyover.
The work is to be planned on the lines of the space developed under the Bellandur flyover by the corporation and Walkaluru NGO.

South City Corporation Commissioner K.N. Ramesh directed officials to prepare a plan to develop the space under the Silk Board flyover on the Hosur Road side, with facilities for pedestrians and commuters.
The work is to be planned on the lines of the space developed under the Bellandur flyover by the corporation and Walkaluru NGO.
During an inspection of the area, Mr. Ramesh directed engineers to level the ground under the flyover, cover open stormwater drains with slabs, and make arrangements for lighting and seating. The space was earlier used for garbage dumping and hence, is currently difficult for pedestrians to use, he pointed out. He also directed officials to develop a footpath connecting the Silk Board Metro station to the BMTC bus stop and put in place a drainage system to prevent waterlogging.
Walkaluru will take up wall paintings on the pillars under the Silk Board flyover this weekend. The NGO representatives have been asked to jointly prepare a blueprint and feasibility proposal for the work.
