Heavy inflows into seasonal streams disrupted traffic on several routes in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram. Motorists were forced to wait for hours at some locations
Traffic on the Vizianagaram-Gurla-Cheepurupalli was disrupted after the Chittigedda stream received heavy inflows and damaged the stretch of the road. People were forced to wait for hours for the water to recede before crossing the affected stretch.

Vizianagaram Joint Collector S. Sedhu Madhavan visited the place and directed irrigation and Road and Buildings department officials to clear the waterlogging on the road and dig a temporary channel to facilitate the smooth flow of water.
Traffic between the Srikakulam and Kalingapatnam route was halted after many old trees fell across the road.
Teams of the National Disaster Response and State Disaster Response were deployed to the spot and removed the fallen trees.
Srikakulam SP K.V. Maheswar Reddy inspected the route and directed traffic department officials to take necessary steps to ensure hassle-free movement of vehicles.
