Geetu Mohandas, the director of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, becameemotional while talking about the highly anticipated movie during its trailer launch on August 08, 2026 (Saturday). Starring Yash and produced by K Venkat Narayana under KVN Productions in association with the actor’s banner Monster Mind Creations, the movie is set to hit the screens on August 26, 2026.
Geetu, the director of acclaimed films such as Liar’s Dice (2013) and Moothon (2019), opened up on “what it is like working with Yash.” “He isn’t just a wonderful producer or a brilliant actor. Yash to me is an emotion,” she said. “I don’t know what my path is going to be after this movie. I don’t know where I am headed. But one thing is for sure. I am going to take a part of you wherever I go and whatever I create,” she said, addressing Yash.
The filmmaker thanked her crew for their efforts on the magnum opus. “There is a peculiar alchemy that happens when a film gets made. There are hundreds of decisions and hours of unseen labour that somehow converge into something that feels effortless for the audience. That illusion is the highest achievement of my wonderful crew. It is the reason we are celebrating and gathered here tonight,” she said.

Yash believed in my dream and carried it on his shoulders. He gave me a chance when everybody doubted me. I will live up to the expectations of fans with Toxic,” she signed off.
Apart from Yash, Toxic stars Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, and Nayanthara. Rajeev Ravi is the cinematographer for Toxic, while Ravi Basrur is the music composer.
