‘Udta Teer’: Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s comedy-drama gets new release date

The film has been written and directed by Akash A Kaushik in his directorial debut.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film, Udta Teer, has been postponed from its September 11 release date. It will be out in theatres now on October 9, the makers announced on Wednesday (September 9, 2026).

The makers also unveiled the first look poster featuring Ayushmann in a quirky avatar as he is seen resting between two milestones of India and Pakistan. Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “Deshbhakti toh yaad hai...par desh nahi (He remembers love for country but not the country). Get ready for unlimited chaos, confusion and action!”

The film is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, marking their fourth collaboration after Kill, Gyaarah Gyaarah, and The Lunchbox. It is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain.

More details from the film are awaited.

Ayushmann was last seen in the romantic-comedy, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. The actor also has Suraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya and Sameer Saxena’s Mupapa in the pipeline.
