Aadarsha Kutumbam - House No. 47, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and led by actor Venkatesh Daggubati, was expected to release in theatres on October 9, in time for the Dasara season. However, speculation was rife in industry circles and on social media about an imminent delay.

On Monday, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi confirmed at a media gathering in Hyderabad that the team is looking at a new release date, owing to a delay in post-production. The Telugu film, which also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Nara Rohith and Nivetha Pethuraj, is produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations.

Naga Vamsi explained, “Even three or four days ago, we were extremely confident that the film could meet the October 9 release date. We even opened overseas bookings with confidence. However, we realised that we are still not in a position to submit the content for overseas censor formalities. We have fallen behind schedule.”

He stated that the decision to postpone the release date was made to ensure better quality of the output. “We will look at a suitable date after two or three weeks, and announce the date after discussing with Venkatesh garu, who has been travelling.”

The teaser of Aadarsha Kutumbam – AK47 shows Venkatesh as a middle-class family man. The film has music by S. Thaman. The anticipation for this film has been high since two of Venkatesh’s biggest hits, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (2001) and Malliswari (2004), had dialogues by Trivikram Srinivas.
