Youth killed as car crashes into electric pole in Kerala’s Kannur
A 25-year-old man died and two were injured in a car crash into an electric pole in Kannur, Kerala.

A 25-year-old man was killed and two others injured after the car in which they were travelling crashed into an electric pole and overturned at Kalaroad near Mattannur in Kannur in the early hours of Wednesday (July 29, 2026).
The deceased was identified as C. Sayanth of Kuthuparamba. He was driving the car at the time of the accident.
The injured, Abhiram 25, and Hrishiraj, 25, were admitted to a private hospital in Kannur. The accident occured around 1:15 a.m. The three were travelling from Irrity towards Kuthuparamba. The vehicle reportedly went out of control, hit an electric pole, and overturned.
