Streaming service Paramount+ has announced the release date of the fantasy animated series, Avatar: Seven Havens at theSan Diego Comic-Con 2026 on Thursday (July 23, 2026). The show will be released on the streamer globally on October 9 this year. Its first look teaser was also unveiled during the event.
Avatar: Seven Havens is the third original series in the popular fantasy franchise and tells the story of a young Earthbender, Pavi, who discovers she’s the new Avatar in a world that is coming to terms with newer devasations. In this world, the Avatar is seen as a destroyer of humanit which makes Pavi to take a journey along with her seprated twin sister to bring reparation to the society. The teaser offers a glimpse into this, promising a grimer world as compared to the earlier shows in the franchise.
Created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, the voice acting cast of the show includes Akshay Khanna, Major Curda, Sakina Jaffrey, Darren Barnet, Dianne Doan, and Dee Bradley Baker. The series consists of 26 episodes which are split into two 13 episode “books,” all of which will premiere on the streamer at once.
The series began with Avatar: The Last Airbender which premiered on television channel Nickelodeon in 2005 and aired for three seasons before concluding in 2008. Set in a fantasty world, the show takes inspiration from ancient Asian cultures where humans have the power to manipulate air, water, fire and fire via martial acts practises that are reffered to as bending.
After a successful run of the animated series, a live-action adaptation was released in 2010, followed by a 2024 remake on Netflix. A sequel series, The Legend of Korra, was released in 2012, which ran for four seasons. Avatar: Seven Havens takes place after the events of The Legend of Korra.
