The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) on Sunday introduced a new limited-stop bus service between Magadi Road Toll Gate and Magadi.
The new Vegadootha Vistara service will have 10 buses making 62 trips a day at an interval of 25 minutes. The service commenced on Sunday. The fare has been fixed at ₹55.
The buses will stop at Kamakshipalya, Summanahalli, Sunkadakatte, Gollarahatti, Honaganahatti, Tavarekere, Varadenahalli Handpost and Hospet Circle before reaching Magadi. The fares from Magadi Road Toll Gate range from ₹15 to Kamakshipalya to ₹50 at Hospet Circle.
The BMTC currently operates 33 scheduled services to Magadi, making 190 trips a day. The corporation said the new service was being introduced in response to the strong patronage from commuters travelling to the town.
It is part of the BMTC’s expansion of its limited-stop Vegadootha services connecting Bengaluru with surrounding towns. The corporation currently operates 143 such services across 14 routes to destinations including Attibele, Anekal, Devanahalli, Doddaballapur, Nelamangala, Dobspet, Bidadi, Harohalli and Hoskote.
