Production banner Y Not Studios on Thursday (November 5) announced that the much-awaited third instalment of the acclaimed spoof comedy film franchise, Tamizh Padam, has gone on the floor. Lead actor Shiva and director CS Amudhan are returning for Tamizh Padam 3, which stars Athulya Ravi as the female lead.
The production house unveiled a new poster to announce the news. The poster features Shiva, not as ‘Agila Ulaga Superstar,’ but as ‘Intergalactic Superstar.’ The poster’s tagline, “Alien Athiyayam,” hints at what to expect.

Launched in 2010, Tamizh Padam is a comedy franchise that attempts to parody popular Tamil cinema tropes and characters. The first film featured Shiva alongside Disha Pandey, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Vennira Aadai Moorthy, and Delhi Ganesh, among others.
Shiva and Amudhan then returned with a sequel, Tamizh Padam 2: Police Athiyayam, in 2018. Shiva reprised his role, with Iswarya Menon playing the female lead. The cast featured Sathish, Santhana Bharathi, Manobala, R Sundarrajan, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Chetan, among others.
Details regarding the plot and the rest of the cast of Tamizh Padam 3 remain unknown at the moment. Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S Sashikanth produce the film under their Y Not Studios banner.
Amudhan’s previous film was the 2023 Vijay Antony-starrer Raththam. Shiva was last seen in director Ram’s 2025 film Paranthu Po.
