Searchlight Pictures has released the teaser for Behemoth!, the upcoming drama from Andor creator Tony Gilroy that stars Pedro Pascal in one of the most unexpected roles of his career.
Gilroy’s first film as a writer-director since The Bourne Legacy follows Alex Serian, a gifted cellist who returns to Los Angeles after spending two decades touring the world. According to the official synopsis, music has defined every aspect of Alex’s life, but his homecoming sends him on a deeply personal journey that changes him forever.
The film also stars Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Will Arnett, Hank Azaria, Alexa Swinton, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, JoBeth Williams and Margarita Levieva
Gilroy, whose credits include Michael Clayton and the acclaimed Star Wars series Andor, wrote, directed and produced the film alongside John Gilroy and Sanne Wohlenberg. The score features contributions from an unusually large roster of acclaimed composers, including Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Alan Silvestri, Henry Jackman and Michael Abels.
David Harbour was originally attached to star in the project before exiting earlier this year due to scheduling commitments following the end of Stranger Things.
Searchlight has not yet confirmed a release date for Behemoth!, though the film is widely expected to arrive during this year’s awards season, positioning Gilroy for a return to feature filmmaking after a 14-year absence..
