Telugu star Prabhas is set to return to the big screen with the pan-Indian project Fauzi. The makers announced the release date of the anticipated film on July 16, 2026 (Thursday).

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Fauzi will hit the screens on December 03, 2026. T-Series will present the film. Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Bhushan Kumar are the producers.

The makers dropped a new poster along with the release date announcement. The poster shows Prabhas in a rugged and emotionally charged look, apart from giving a glimpse into the film’s massive scale. In the poster, Prabhas’ character is blood-soaked and exhausted. He sits silently amidst a battlefield filled with fallen soldiers. Clutching a rifle with his head lowered, his battered appearance also conveys resilience and grief.

In an official release, the makers said, “The scene is from one of the film’s biggest action episodes, a sequence expected to become one of the major theatrical highlights. Fauzi is not merely another war drama but an emotionally driven cinematic spectacle where larger-than-life action meets compelling storytelling.”

Fauzi stars Imanvi opposite Prabhas, with veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Bhanu Chandar playing pivotal roles. The film boasts cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, music by Vishal Chandrasekhar, production design by Anil Vilas Jadhav, and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Prabhas was last seen in TheRaja Saab. Directed by Maruthi, the horror comedy hit the screens on January 09, 2026. The Hindu review of the movie said, “In The Raja Saab, characters find themselves trapped in a haunted house with no easy escape. Ironically, watching the film in a theatre can feel much the same.

:When the final moments tease a sequel — The Raja Saab: Circus — it lands less as a promise and more as a threat. As the first of five Sankranti 2026 releases, the film arrives during a season when audiences are usually indulgent, provided there is some fun to be had. Unfortunately, this one is simply a slog.”
