According to the complaint, the student has been living for about two and a half months at an apartment on Burley Street, Shantinagar, and is pursuing her degree at a private college.

The complainant alleged that the apartment owner, identified as Kamlesh Kumar, 60, visited her residence around 6.25 p.m. on Saturday to inspect pending repair work. She was reportedly alone at the apartment at the time. After inspecting the repair work, Kumar allegedly began asking her about her college. She further alleged that despite her attempts to move away, Kumar continued to sexually harass her and told her not to worry or be afraid.
