Notably, Kumararaja and Ilaiyaraaja previously collaborated on the 2023 anthology series Modern Love: Chennai, in which Kumararaja served as the creator (the segments Ilaiyaraaja composed music for include Ninaivo Oru Paravai, which was directed by Kumararaja himself).

The shooting for PocketNovel was wrapped up in October. Meanwhile, Sethupathi, who recently starred in the highly acclaimed Baththa, will next be seen in Train. Directed by Mysskin, the movie hits the screens on December 04, 2026.
