Dakshina Kannada Police have arrested an alleged serial burglar from Tamil Nadu who is believed to be involved in multiple house break-ins across Karnataka and Kerala. Investigators say the arrest has helped crack 11 theft cases, including five registered in Dakshina Kannada district.
Police Investigation
The accused was apprehended during an investigation into burglary cases reported in Belthangady and Uppinangady. During questioning, police said the suspect confessed to involvement in several thefts spanning two southern states. Authorities also recovered valuables believed to have been stolen during the crimes.
Interstate Coordination
Police officials credited close coordination between Karnataka and Kerala law enforcement agencies for tracing the suspect. Officers had been tracking the accused's movements for several months before carrying out the successful operation.
Further Probe Underway
Investigators are examining whether the accused has links to additional unsolved burglary cases in South India. Police have indicated that further arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
